Obituary for Jimmy Blanchard

Jimmy Blanchard, 71, of Valdosta, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his residence. He was born on August 17, 1946 in Valdosta to Harry Edward Blanchard and Dorothy Mae Jernigan Blanchard. Jimmy was a retired contractor and a member of Bemiss Road Baptist Church. He was the best Dad in the world and a loving Grandfather. Jimmy enjoyed sports and cruising around.
He is survived by his son, Carroll Blanchard, his daughter and son in law, Becky and Tim Brown all of Valdosta, three grandchildren, Eric Brown, Shelby Reagan (Steven) and Ashton Brown, one great granddaughter, Addison Reagan, his mother, Dorothy Blanchard of Valdosta, brother, Bobby Blanchard of Valdosta and sister and brother in law, Evelyn and Bruce Garner of Lake Park. Jimmy is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn J. Blanchard, his father, Harry Blanchard and his brother, Herbert Blanchard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at noon in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from eleven a. m. until noon at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
