Obituary for Edward Earl Carter

Edward Earl Carter, 59, of Valdosta died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born on October 4, 1958 in Valdosta and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mr. Carter was a Baptist, enjoyed being with his children, fishing and working in his yard.
Survivors include his mother, Sarah Bennett of Tifton; his wife, Beverly DeLoach Carter of Illinois; his children, Derrick Carter, Stacey Carter, Wesley Carter all of Illinois; four grandchildren; his brother, Mike Carter of Valdosta; three sisters, Nancy Davis of Tifton, Stephanie Bennett of Pensacola, FL, Pamela Bennett of Tifton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Earl Carter; two brothers, Tony Carter, Wallace Jule Carter; his stepfather, Robert Bennett; his grandparents, Jule Mullis, Nancy Brown, Edward Walter and Clara Carter.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
